I USED TO LOOK INTO MY FATHER'S EYES
I USED TO LOOK INTO MY FATHER'S EYES
SPECIALIZATION: Nothing except what the voices tell.
POWERS: Other than the voices? She always hears the whispers, sometimes she can understand and other times she just can't. Her mind wanders as she attempts to listen to what they say and most times when she zones back in her hand will have drawn something. Normally not a pretty picture either...[/font][/ul]
in a happy time
I WAS A KING, I HAD A THRONE

those days are gone
NOW THE MEMORY'S ON THE WALL
It happened in winter, February maybe? Her mother had taken her out to play in the snow as her dad was making dinner in the kitchen. It happened so fast, it was a blur to little Eve. All she knew was that the voices were getting louder, harder to ignore and a feeling in her stomach was tightening and bubbling at the same time. She didn't even see who it was, all she knew was something flashed out and hit her mother, sending the red head woman to the floor, blood soaking quickly into the white snow all around her. Evelynn felt something snap and the scream that came out was nothing her father had ever heard before.
All Evelynn knew was that she could understand the voices for the first time. Though she couldn't remember what was being said as soon as her scream stopped. The noise had scared off the other person as he dad came running out of the house. That first year without her mother had been rather hard on the two of them, but things settled back down. Ryan, her father, never really tried to get another wife and Eve started to show just a few more odd ball stuff. Mostly strange drawings and mumbling to voices no one could hear, though she was mostly alone whenever this did happen.
Life continued on like this, stretching into her years of elementary and middle school. She had stumbled upon more than a few dead bodies. Some she told people about, and others she was silent on. Though the scream thatt came from her mouth was normally what gave away the locations, more than her talking to someone. It could be heard for quite the distance after all.
As such Evelynn is mostly by herself, even more so now that she is in high school. She can appear absent-minded and honestly she normally is. The voices can often pull her away from what she is doing or trying to focus on to have her pay attention to them. She had found that the more she ignores them, the worse off she will be later. If anyone was to get passed the strange habits of the red head they would find her to be a rather good friend. She is a great listener and is always willing to help out anyone she deems in need of it.

Gray eyes held a dull gaze as the voice of her teacher droned on and on. Her attention faded away, letting the voice blend and mix with the soft whispers that brushed against her ears. It was a rather easy thing to do, ignoring the voices is what she had been doing for so very long after all. Well, when they let her ignore them. It was shocking just how pushy they could be, they had forever and a day after all. She gave a soft sigh and pushed the long strands of red from her face, tieing it back into a ponytail as the history lesson continued on. Her eyes scanned the class, amused by the dull look in most everyones eyes. At least it wasn't just her then. Her pencil tapped a soft tune against her notebook, the paper filled with a few odds and ends that she would need for the test, random facts and such after all. She glanced down to write something down, the teacher had said it at least three times by now so it had to be something important after all. The lead didn't even touch the paper for the rest of the class. Her eyes were too busy taking in the picture her hand had drawn sometime in the last half hour. Woods, thick and dark all around a lake. The moon shining bright down upon the surface. And of course right on the body that was floating in the middle. Eve couldn't see if it was face up or down but she got the feeling it didn't much matter. Not with stuff like this. She already knew the lake was a watery grave. |
i still remember how it all changed
MY FATHER SAID "DON'T YOU WORRY, DON'T YOU WORRY CHILD.
SEE, HEAVEN'S GOD A PLAN FOR YOU."
