POWERS:

• Aether Manipulation- The power to generate and manipulate Aether energy; in line with Kaori's beliefs, the manipulation of Chi energy. Kaori can bend the Celestial Element to her will and command. The energy of the universe is at her finger tips and is only limited by her imagination. This power takes extreme concentration and practice to harness and side effects can include: shortened lifespan, coma, exhaustion, permanent disfiguration if not trained properly. Even after 800 years of practice with this ability, it is still highly finicky and Kaori still has years of practice before she can master it. 
  
• Spatial Manipulation- The ability to warp, bend, flip, crush, control and otherwise manipulate physical aspects of space. Gives Kaori to teleport, distort and warp space into illusions, and crush space to change the pace of an object. This power is extremely temperamental and almost seems to have a mind of its own. It only obeys Kaori on occasion and can leave Kaori at any. When she was younger her Spacial Manipulation powers only worked for her every once in a blue moon, but in her later years her powers and her have come to an understanding.
  
• Aerokinesis- The power to manipulate air. Create, shape, and control air at will. Kaori can whip up gales, zephyrs, squalls, and hurricanes. Using air, Kaori can manipulate air molecules vibrations to amplify her hearing to hear things kilometers away. These powers are useless underground and is limited by the amount of air in the environment. Theoretically, if someone locks Kaori in a small, sealed room her powers would be relatively useless. 
  
• Disaster senseing- Celestial energies can give Kaori a sixth sense for natural disasters. Avalanches, earthquakes, droughts, floods etc. always make Kaori's Spider Senses tingle. These powers are limited severely by the fact that Kaori doesn't know exactly know which disaster will happen and precisely where. Just the general area where it will happen, leaving Kaori with a sense of uncertainty and free will.

BASIC PERSONALITY:
(-) Selfish- Kaori is a very "Me, Myself and I" sort of person. She only ever really cares for herself, as she had for several hundred years, and never cares for anyone else. Sure, she's had some husbands and children in her life, but in the last few centuries Kaori has isolated herself from the rest of Humanity. Kaori fills the hole of loneliness in her soul by constantly moving from place to place as often as possible. She will avoid sticking her neck out for anyone if it can be helped and always keeps people at arm length. The only person she ever lets in is Bellamy, and he was created by her in a moment of weakness.
(+) Confident- Where Kaori has no confidence in anyone, she makes up for the amount of confidence she has in herself. After living for over 800 years, this girl knows she can do anything she puts her mind to. She has long since gotten over human fears such as the dark, loneliness, and public speaking and throws herself into life with reckless enthusiasm. Most of her confidence comes from her boundless experience and there is very little Kaori has not done or will not do.
(+) Ebullient- As a classic example of a Kitsune, Kaori is effortlessly joyful and full of endless energy. She is usually found with a mischievous grin on her face and with a new plan of some kind in mind. For being such an 'old lady' Kaori is endlessly playful and bouncing all over the place. She never seems to run out of energy or enthusiasm and can go for days without stopping when something catches her interest. Kaori very rarely has a serious moment and always has a joke, pun or sarcastic comment on the tip of her tongue.
(/)Aggressive- Kaori is rather trigger happy when it comes to fighting. She only needs the slightest reason for a fight before she's all in. This tends to make Kaori a very confrontational person and loves a good argument. Despite this, Kaori isn't always meliciously aggressive. Sometimes she is playfully aggressive like a puppy who doesn't know her own strength. She always pursuits her goals relentlessly and forcefully making her a highly competitive person.   
(-) Crafty-Being a Kitsune has its natural advantages. For Kaori, it gives her a naturally crafty mind with nearly limitless imagination, making for some really good pranks. 'As crafty as a fox' so the saying goes. While Kaori isn't very books smart, she is very wise and experiences. She always seems to have an ace up her sleeve or a new trick in the hat that can spell some nasty surprises for an unsuspecting enemy.

BIOGRAPHY: [/font][/span]Kaori was born several years before the beginning of the Kamakura period of Japan's history in 1190. Her mother was Inari, a wise, old Kitsune and the two of them lived in the heart of the bustling village of Edo. As a child, Kaori was well aware of her Kitsune heritage and her mother spent most of her time drilling every little bit of information and history of the Kitsune race. The mother and daughter pair were very close from the moment Kaori was born. Inari raised her daughter all by herself and only mentioned her father in passing. Not that Kaori ever cared, she loved living with just her mom. At the age of fifteen, Kaori meet a human by the name of Yoritomo and he asked for her hand in marriage. Kaori joyfully accepted and the pair went on to have a daughter they named Tomoe several years later.

Tomoe was born human but still retained some of her mother's kitsune gifts which helped her on her journey to become a famous female samurai. In 1274, Kaori's mother and daughter were killed in the first invasion of the Mongolians. Kaori herself was consumed by rage and vowed some sort of revenge against the Mongolian dynasty for the death of her remaining family. So Kaori started her long, hard journey to China where she weaseled her way into King Yu's harem. Yu was infatuated with Kaori and clearly favoured her out of the rest of the women in his harem. He would go to any length to see her smile. But the only thing that made Kaori smile these days was nothing short of bloodshed. Yu made Kaori his Queen and vowed nothing more than to make her smile. In his pursuit to make his wife smile, Yu tore his entire kingdom to bloody shreds and effectively ended his rein. Kaori absolutely grinned at Yu's death.

On her journey back home to Japan, Kaori ran into a samurai named Oda. He stole Kaori's precious Kitsune jewel and tricked her into trading her jewel for her promise to help him in his time of need. Oda called on Kaori in his time of need and she saved him from a group of deadly bandits. With their oath fufiled, Kaori was free to return home but she did not. She was impressed by the man's trickery and continued to help him as he needed her. Eventually Kaori went on to become apart of Oda's harem and bore him several children.

After Oda's death, Kaori spent the next few decades traveling Asia causing mischief wherever she went. For instance, one day Kaori came across a traveler on the silk road and appealed to him about some fake band of bandits attacking her home village. The man agreed to help her and to show her thanks, Kaori offered him a drink of wine. As the two of them sat drinking, a pack of hunting dogs came bounding out of the nearby woods, scaring the kitsune away from the man. As she vanished into the undegrowth, the cup of wine in the traveler's hand turned into a bleached skull filled with blood instead of wine.

In the early 1600s, Kaori traveled westward to Europe and fell in love with the city of Rome. She spent years wandering the ancient cobblestone streets and marveling at the new technologies of the Renaissance Era had yielded in the area. Despite her wonders of the new culture, a loneliness Kaori had not know she was suffering from, hit her particularly hard. In a desperate attempt to alleviate her loneliness, Kaori cut off one of her tails to create a Nogitsune. She named the creature Bellamy in honor of the Roman Goddess of War, Bellona. Bellamy and Kaori's whirlwind relationship brought a new light into Kaori's life. The two of them were an odd mix of best friends, lovers and siblings. They played pranks on unsuspecting humans, badgered the local supernatural creatures, occasionally brought massacres, plagues and chaos everywhere they went. Kaori never felt more alive than when she had Bellamy at her side.

Eventually Kaori returned to China in the early 1800s and meet a woman named Ching Shih who caught her attention. The terror of the Chinese seas was like a vengeful Goddess in her eyes and Kaori wasted no time in seducing the woman behind her husband's back before eventually outright killing him. Ching snaked her way into his position of captain of his fleets of pirates and Kaori was free to tangle with Ching in plain view of everyone. For years Kaori whispered in the woman's ear, instilling chaos and brilliance in her.  Unfortunately, it was around this point of time that Bellamy caught up to his wayward counterpart. The two of them had been playing hide-and-seek all over the continent and he had finally tracked her down. When Bellamy found out about Kaori's relationship with Ching, he became furious and tried to kill the Pirate leader but Kaori fought him back. The two engaged in a furious battle that lasted five days and nights before Kaori got the upper hand due to her years of experience on Bellamy. Kaori threatened Bellamy into leaving Ching alone before leaving her long-time companion in a fury.

Kaori ran to the nearest ship and hopped over to the new world. For the next several decades she wandered around the Americas, purposefully avoiding Bellamy and taking her mind off of things by introducing herself to the local supernatural population. She became good friends with the druid population in the North and several werewolf packs before Bellamy finally caught up to her. The two of them had a rather explosive reunion in the Wild West before the two of them settled down enough to talk out their problems. Bellamy admitted to being possessive of Kaori and jealous of anyone else who had her attention. As much as Kaori wanted to commit the rest of her life to Bellamy, she knew she just didn't work like that. She hated staying put in one place for more than several years and loved her nomadic, no-strings-attached lifestyle. If there was one thing Kaori valued above anything and it was her freedom. Since their last encounter, Kaori and Bellamy have meet once or twice but they are rather content for their world-wide game of tag and chaos-causing life.

In recent years, Kaori adopted the name "Karoline" and has been sniffing around Beacon Hills.
