POWERS: Stiles is just your ordinary, hyper-active human. He doesn't have any supernatural power, though he's very smart and can play lacrosse. Stiles would consider sarcasm as a power and he has the uncanny ability to get on people's nerves. Other than that, he's your average semi-athletic teenager. He's become a very good detective over the years.

Harvey hated clowns. He hated them and wanted to murder every one he saw. Unfortunately he couldn’t murder them. He was trying to be a better person and he was fairly certain that Josh would throttle him if he killed someone again. So if he hated clowns, which tended to be at carnivals, why was he at a carnival? Hyo, that was why. Hyo Isley had him wrapped around his pretty little finger. He was beginning to realize that now. He’d snuck into Hyo’s apartment several times and spent the night, curled up with him. He’d signed up for nightly patrols, so he hadn’t had to explain himself to any of his teammates and friends. He’d been offered a key but had turned it down. He liked coming in through the window and watching Hyo sleep. It sounded creepy, but he was creepy. He’d grown up with the creepiest parents in all of Gotham, probably the world. Naturally, they had rubbed off on him. But the one time he’d come during the day – he didn’t want his friends knowing about his private life and hadn’t been able to get away from them during the day in a while – Hyo had been nowhere in the apartment. He’d been disappointed and then concerned. Had something happened? Was Hyo alright? When he found the notes, he had literally slumped to the ground and hugged them, sighing in relief. He tried to contain his weirdness around Hyo as well as his mood swings, but that wasn’t the most possible thing in the world to do. He’d made his way to the carnival, and hadn’t been able to find Hyo. Panic hadn’t set in until a clown had walked past him, pasty white face and all. He’d stumbled back, bumping into a kid and sending an entire line of kids waiting for a ride falling like dominos. He grimaced and quickly darted off before any parents could strangle him. He hugged himself tightly and tried to control his breathing, quickly walking through the crowd and hoping Hyo would see him. Weren’t clowns supposed to be at circuses not carnivals? That was why he never went to the circus! A child was suddenly in front of him and he came to a screeching halt. The little boy had face paint like a clown and he noticed that he had just left a face paint set up. The mother grabbed the boy and apologized, scolding the child to watch where he was going. A shudder ran throughout Harvey’s entire body. Why would anyone want to look like that? It didn’t make any sense. “Hyo,” he whined loudly, earning odd glances from passersby. He had made his way to the entrance of the carnival and was looking around, eyes wide like a madman’s. He hadn’t come in through the entrance. He didn’t have any money and security guards were usually around the entrance and he hated any adult that had any form of authority over him. And he had a criminal record. Security tended to not like him. He was fairly certain he was having a panic attack. His breathing was quickening though at the same time he was finding it hard to breathe. His throat felt as if it was swelling. His heart was racing and his head was pounding. He would have questioned why Hyo had chosen this place, but he knew that Hyo didn’t know any better. He didn’t know the trauma his boyfriend had endured at the hands of his parents. And a carnival date was a good idea. Harvey just needed to feel safe and protected, but he was feeling very vulnerable, like a mouse caught in a trap. His eyes finally found Hyo and he darted off to him, throwing his arms around his shoulders and clinging tightly to him. He nuzzled his face into the crook of Hyo’s neck and stayed there, breathing in his scent and the warmth of his skin. He focused on him, holding his breath until his heart slowed down. He let go of the breath he held, blowing it against Hyo’s neck. He was regretting not once offering his cellphone number to Hyo – Josh had bought him a cellphone so he could track him. Next time, they’d go to the carnival together, rather than meeting there. |
i still remember how it all changed
