SPECIALIZATION: Siren

POWERS:
Heightened Hearing – She can memorize voices, music, sounds quite easily, even in by their tone and pitch. She is musically inclined due to being a siren, so she knows what the sounds is or what voice belongs to whom once she hears it, also it is good for hearing secrets and gossip.

Siren Scream – It is a scream but more high pitched, and has a sound force to it, it is like a sound field smacking against someone, it can knock someone out, or shove someone away, depends on how much they weigh and how forceful it is, also it can make ears ring for a period of time.

Siren Song – Did we forget to mention that she is the siren in the family? No? Oops. Basically, she can enchant her voice in various ways, it is almost like hypnotizing, be it by speaking or singing, she can command someone to do something, anything, depends on the person how long the effects last. She can also calm animals (like werewolves), take away pain for a short period of time, and just in general alter a person’s perception or memory. So it could be like she was never there, or at least never recall seeing her there.

Siren’s Kiss - It is a gift, given to those by a Siren of their own free will, if a Siren kisses someone deeply enough, long enough, they share their song so to speak in a brilliant blue light that enters the person they are kissing. What this blue light does is gives that person immunity to not only that Siren’s songs but other sirens as well, their commands, their songs will not work on that particular person. The only two people that Skylla knows of that has received such a kiss, was her father and her Uncle (only her uncle does not know he has the gift) and it was given by her mother to them both. But it cannot be given forcefully, she cannot be forced to give the gift. (It’s a weakness because once the gift is given it cannot be taken back. Therefore if someone pulls a ‘Kate’ on her, she is screwed.)

STRENGTHS:
Resourceful – The woman enjoys building things, coming up with new designs for various things, be it fashion, a battle plan, or simply using what one has.

Loyal – When it comes to family, she is very loyal, in the aspect she would never use her siren song on family, it won’t happen and those who are her close/best friends, she would not use it on them either. After all, family comes first before anyone…

Family – You know those Sirens that lure sailors to their deaths? They are the ones who lose their humanity, see family and loved ones keep a Siren grounded, they are their anchors and they give a Siren their humanity, without family, the Siren becomes the monster that everyone knows.

Protective – Oh protective of people she cares about is an understatement, especially of her cousin Stiles. Hell, the girl knows what people do to her cousin and how he is treated… yeah, let’s just say don’t treat her family bad around her, quickest way to piss her off.

Intelligent – She is actually very smart, she is just easily bored when it comes to school tests and the like. They actually wanted to skip her a few grades, or put her in advanced classes, but she does not want to be known as the geek or nerd, so she just sort of floats between B’s and C’s, although she could do much better.

Water – It recharges her, it is basically something that if she is emerged in water it can bring her back to life much like a shock to her system, it helps her heal faster, after all a Siren is like the cousin to the mermaid.



WEAKNESSES:
Temperamental – Her temper can be sparked very easily, especially when it concerns her family (mainly Stiles). So her temper leads her to think irrationally, she will act without thinking almost immediately.

Fire/Dry Heat – Due to being a siren, fire or dry, humid heat and air can actually weaken her, cause for her to not to be able to make her siren song. It actually slowly kills her, occasionally after something such as this, she’ll have to be submerged in water or her skin will dry out and crack, which is usually why one sees her guzzling bottle after bottle of water so this does not happen.

Klutz – At times she can be quite klutzy, bumping into a person or two, walking into a doorway, or even falling UP the stairs and then down them. Yep, but she still looks good doing it?

Insecure - Despite being smart and pretty, she is actually insecure, not that she would show it to anyone, only her family would probably know. She feels like everything is her fault, anything bad that happens is somehow her fault. In a way she punishes herself for things that is not even her fault, plus she feels more like a freak than she does human.

Self-Sacrificing/Self-Harm – If she holds her siren song on the same command or for too long past her limit, her nose will start to bleed, her head will start to pound and it physically, mentally and emotionally hurts her. And sometimes if it is about protecting someone she cares about, she will hold on to it for as long as possible, almost to the point where it is killing her, draining her strength and what not. If someone does not stop her, she could very well kill herself in the process of protecting people, which if it is a choice between herself and someone else… she always chooses someone else.

Siren’s Kiss – See Above.

Unrequited Love – There is a reason Skylla has to be careful with whom she gives her heart to. It is actually the very same reason her mother almost died when her father was separated from Danae. A Siren when they mate, much like werewolves they mate for life, so much to the point that the soul kind of connects itself to their love, sharing magic, making the connection even deeper, even more so than marriage. When a Siren falls in love, if the siren is not loved in return, they become ill, almost like they are dying, they slowly will fade away, grow weaker until finally, their heart just stops. But if the Siren’s love is accepted and the Siren is loved in return, but her mate dies… same thing happens as unrequited love, the Siren will slowly fade away and the heart will stop.

Emotional – A Siren is highly emotional, to the point that she will be irrational when it comes to feeling, and when someone close to her dies, she not only drowns in own grief, but in the grief of those closest to her, it is like she is suffocating in their sadness.

Family – If a family member dies, she grieves deeply, so deeply it is like a part of her dies with them, it is much worse when it is a blood relative, it is like she is drowning in grief and may want to scream over and over because to her it will feel like many knives slicing her up inside and out. Family is everything… and the mate whoever that is.

BASIC PERSONALITY: Skylla Stilinski is someone with a complex personality, there are many facets to her personality. First off, her temper is something that can be best described as fiery, not a short fuse per say, but can burn like an inferno when it is sparked. The quickest way to spark her temper? Just look at her family the wrong way and she is ready to rip your throat out. Although she is usually a very thoughtful person, one who thinks before she acts, if her temper is up, she just simply acts without thinking. Loyalty is a very big thing with her and goes hand-in-hand with trust, you break that trust with her just once and it’ll be a very long time and very hard to earn it back.

Who in their right minds would cross a siren? This coming from the young woman who has not even shared that she is a siren to her Uncle or her Cousin, Stiles. Which adds another facet of her personality, she does not like to admit what she is, and she is almost ashamed of it because it means she is far from normal. And she is a bit envious of Stiles for being just normal, although she would never tell him that or anyone for that matter. Much like Stiles, she knows what it is like to grow up without a mother, and much like Stiles she covers it up by Sass and Sarcasm, but also she covers it up by simply not talking about it.

Truth of the matter, her mother died while giving birth to her, so she knows she killed her own mother, and does not understand why Stiles thinks he killed his. Although she can be very friendly, sometimes a little too friendly, the girl is a hugger, she needs physical contact, actually needs it, and it re-charges her in ways people do not understand. She needs a hug every now and then; she needs to physically touch something, even a simple gesture of brushing her fingers along someone’s hand. This can get her into trouble sometimes especially when she hugs or is affectionate with someone who has a very jealous significant other. Although, she has found that most people do not mind getting hugs or affection, in fact it seems to cheer some people up which in turn makes her happy.

Skylla likes to make others happy, she likes to make others smile, especially her friends, she’ll be a complete goof and make herself look like an idiot if it helps get the other person to smile. She cannot stand to see anyone sick or in pain (stems from her Aunt being ill/dying), so she tries to comfort if she can, or give the person some peace even if it just for a little while. But really, she is not bubbly or happy all the time, she hide her true feelings a lot of the time. She has her heart on her sleeve but she covers it up with other feelings, she is sincerely afraid of getting hurt, of loving someone and not being loved in return.

When you think about it, a Siren loving someone and not being loved in return can actually kill them slowly, which is why she guards her heart very very very carefully. Overall, she is a good girl who is just rough around the edges; she marches to the beat of her own drum and does not apologize for it.

BIOGRAPHY: [/font][/span]: It was too easy to stand out in Beacon Hills, it wasn’t that James did not love his town, but he hated that nothing stayed secret for too long. He hated that there was hardly any privacy, so he decided to go to Los Angeles to be in the law, which is where he met her, his future wife and the mother of their only child. Danae was a pretty tall blonde, who was aspiring to be a model, but she had to be careful for the woman had a secret that she kept from James until their wedding night: she was a Siren. Suffice to say, at first James was thinking he had married someone insane, but once Danae proved it to him, they had separated for a few months afterwards.

Before that, at their wedding, which they decided to have at Beacon Hills, since Danae’s family were long gone, she did kiss his brother in order to give him the very gift she already gave James, immunity to not only her siren song but all siren songs. James at first was still a bit ticked off at her kissing his brother, but after she explained what she had done and why, he thanked her. But during the months of separation James had come to realize that it did not matter to him what Danae was, she was still Danae, so they had reconciled, and that is when she told James she was pregnant. Needless to say, they had reconciled in time for James to enjoy his pregnant wife, although there were complications.

The night she went into Labor was both the happiest and saddest days of James’ life, the Baby had the cord wrapped around its neck, the doctors gave Danae and James a choice, either the baby dies saving the mother, or the mother dies saving the baby. The choice was made, Danae and James told the doctors to do what they could to save the baby and her if it was possible. At first it seemed that both mother and baby would be okay, but Danae started to bleed out, they could not stop it, she held her baby girl and named her Skylla Ourania. Danae died while she held onto Skylla and her husband. Skylla never heard of the story fully of what happened the night she was born, and she never asked. All she knows is that it was her fault that her mother died. James hired someone to watch over Skylla while he worked, and knowing what his wife was, he knew how his daughter would be and what she would be.

James elected to never tell his brother, or anyone, after all who would believe him? And if he did tell they would have him committed, leaving Skylla alone, the only piece of his wife he had left. Early on, Skylla was commanding towards other people, able to use her Siren song, except Daddy was immune, slowly over time he taught her that using her gift was an unfair advantage, that it was morally wrong to use it against people. It was these lessons that Skylla took to heart, when she began walking she would bump into stuff or fall on her rear, but it never hurt her so much, she just simply giggled. Every few months she would visit her Uncle and cousin, and sometimes they’d come to Los Angeles to stay. When her Aunt had gotten sick, she did not understand, she did not know how to help Stiles or even her Uncle, but she had asked her father if she could sing to her Aunt, to comfort her and ease her pain even if it was just for a little while.

Skylla showed true compassion, not wanting to use her Siren song to control, but use it to relieve her Aunt’s pain. So while the others were away, she had slipped into her Aunt’s room, using her gift to ease her pain and to let her Aunt sleep, to rest. Skylla understood death at a very young age and had hope that soon her Aunt’s suffering would end, so she told her Aunt that her Mother would look after her, and she promised to her Aunt without even thinking about it that she’d look after Stiles. At the funeral, Skylla held onto Stiles’ hand, protective of her cousin from then on, someone had to look after the little pipsqueak. When they went back to Los Angeles, Skylla withdrew a bit from her own father, only because she was coping with the death of her Aunt in her own way, and over time she had found other vices, the older she got, the more in trouble she got.

She knew she was not normal so why bother trying to be? She rebelled against everything, although she could not make herself not care, not to have sexual relations with people, in the back of her head she knew she was doing wrong. She had tried speed and ecstasy, a little pot, and drank a little, but none of it made her happy, only more depressed, the girl could charm literally anyone, so most people turned a blind eye to her, except her Dad. Skylla felt sharp stabbing pains a few times in the last few years, like she was dying, she also felt this unshakable darkness, but she did not know where it was coming from. But after a while all of these things faded away, and the nightmares of losing Stiles stopped. After the Motorcycle and pool incident, her father and her had a long talk, he kept asking what it was she was looking for.

Then he dropped a bomb on her, he thought Los Angeles was a bad influence, so he was sending her to Beacon Hills where it was safe, where she will do her school work and no more drugs, because her Uncle was Sheriff, she knew she wouldn’t be able to get away with anything. So now, she was coming to Beacon Hills, another Stilinski to torment people, only she torments in a different way than her cousin. She hadn’t been to Beacon Hills in three years, and she never stayed for too long, now she was going to stay there for college, hopefully she won’t die of boredom.
