Caden sighed as he walked out of his final class for the day. He hated school. It was long and boring. After all, between Caden and Xavier, the two generally screwed with the professors and switched places most days anyway. Accept Xavier's history. Caden wasn't allowed to step foot in Xavy's history class. God-forbid big brother should meet little brother's crush.
The young witch hunter understood why Xavier was keeping this Lloyd far away from Cade and their father. Cade was suspicious of everything that moved and their father? That was another story entirely. Cade would have to take matters into his own hands at this point.
Caden paused at the doors that exited to the parking lot, where his big orange jeep sat waiting for him. He thought for a long moment before he turned on his heels and walked deeper into the school. Caden would deal with this dilemma now. After all, it was a Monday night. Mondays were Xavier's nights to patrol. If Caden took longer getting home, only their mother would notice and he could say he went to the library to look for a certain book for one of his classes. She'd believe him.
He smiled happily to himself as he walked directly to the school gym. He was pretty sure their was basketball practice directly after school. Caden would kindly introduce himself to the crush of his younger brother and leave. He wouldn't do anything more than meet him. He promised that to himself. He was going to let his brother see this one to the end. Be that end a happy one or a bloody one.
Caden gently pushed the doors open to the gym and walked inside. He glanced around and sighed at the sight of a few people throwing some warm up shots. He never understood basketball. Granted, he never understood any sport. "Half truths." He muttered to himself, "And no assumptions." He walked further into the gym and hoped to god that this Lloyd person would be the one doing the assumptions. He hoped that Lloyd would come to him, because Caden had no clue which one of the boys on the court was Lloyd.
