[/span]Jacob was born in San Francisco, moving to Beacon Hills when he was six years old. He spent most of his time trying to convince his parents and older siblings to buy him comic books rather than focusing on homework. He came out as gay when he was thirteen, though his family didn't seem very surprised. He didn't complain about that since a majority of his family seemed accepting, though to this day he isn't sure if all of his family is accepting. That hasn't stopped him from being very open about his sexuality at school and among his peers.

At the age of fifteen, Jake got his magical powers. He'd always expected to get his magic because his parents and siblings were witches too, but he had always wondered what would happen if he turned out different. He was gay, so why wouldn't life throw another twist and make him a normal human? Growing up, one of his biggest fears had been that he wouldn't get his magic. When his magic finally came, he'd beamed with happiness and insisted on showing all of his siblings the little magic he'd learned multiple times.

After entering high school, Jacob was reunited with one of his childhood best friends, Anna, and the two quickly rekindled their friendship. He'd noticed something was off with his best friend and did all in his power to cheer her up and make things like they'd used to be, before either of them had moved to Beacon Hills. The closer the two got, the more time they'd spend together. He'd invite Anna over for dinner with his family and she became like one of his siblings.

However life soon made it his turn to be traumatized. A few months ago, Jake underwent his ceremony and gained his power of necromancy. Disgusted by his own magic, he began to shut himself in, snapping at his siblings and parents any time someone tried to talk to him and tell him necromancy wasn't so bad. One day he just broke down and cried about it to Anna, confessing that he was a witch. To his surprise, his best friend knew exactly how he felt.

Since then and finding out Anna was a witch, the two of them have become inseparable. Though he hasn't gotten Anna to officially join his family's coven, he often brings her with him when he has no choice but to train his magic. The two of them started a club together at Beacon Hills High School, the school's first GSA. To Jake's annoyance and pleasure, Anna is currently trying to hook him up with a cute friend of theirs. By hanging out with Anna and his other friends, including his familiar, Jake's stopped shutting himself in and has become his usual, open self.
